Mr Eggleston was in touch with me and we saw him at his home in Suffolk few years ago when he so kindly took us out for lunch and we talked for hours how much we valued our education at the English School under his leadership and how far we had been able to come in life mainly due to our excellent grounding at his school. Mania Row and from my sister Armenn "RIP Mr. Eggleston. You were such a phenomenal headmaster and educator who touched and helped shape so many young minds. Forever grateful for having you as mentor during my teenage years."

Tony was a towering figure -in every sense of the word. I will always remember his kindness when I arrived (from the English School in Cyprus) to do my A'levels at Felsted. I was a little lost initially but his gentle support helped me through and I soon made lots of friends. He made me feel special with his appreciation of my Andrews Society lecture on the poet C P Cavafy and we remained in contact even after I had left the school. I also know that he has many friends in Cyprus from his time there during the 1960s; everyone remembers him very fondly. A remarkable person who has made a great contribution to our world.
